Be Honest: Do You Want Freedom or Just Relief?

Be Honest: Do You Want Freedom or Just Relief?

Every creator and solopreneur is talking about freedom!

The real question is, how do we define freedom?

Is it to stop going to work and lie dead on the living room sofa?

Is it laziness and procrastination without any dream or goal?

Or is it a chance to live our lives to the fullest?

All such thoughts bring up the idea that we deserve more in life than just serving our jobs and living paycheck to paycheck. Hustling all week from early dawn till evening and desperately anticipating the weekend for relief.

Relief that is short-lived and turns into anxiety on Sunday, then the cycle begins again…

We all want relief, but not release!

Releasing or letting go of our security and job before any tangible replacement of our income is secured.

I tell you, don’t take a temporary decision without a permanent vision or clarity.

Some fake gurus spread the propaganda to quit your 9-5 job and start your own business.

I always advise the opposite!

Never quit your job before you are sure and confident that your paying clients are at your door.

Quitting now is not a relief; it is a danger zone that could put you in a very unpleasant condition.

But the good advice is not to let your life depend on your job.

You can be laid off for any reason at any time without a relief plan.

Make sure you have your eggs in more than one basket, and choose that basket wisely and meticulously.

Build slowly and comfortably on the weekend until everything gets in place. Then you get the freedom to say no to a toxic work culture or a bad boss, and yes to a life you choose, and you find relief in.

We all need to be honest with ourselves. Can we continue this way, or should we settle for a temporary escape on weekends and go back to an unfulfilling work life on weekdays?

To reiterate, don’t quit your job now! Instead, build now and let’s see how things turn out…

What’s Actually Stopping You from Starting? I wanted to introduce this topic in my newsletter today because I’ve personally experienced it in life, and I think it might interest you. When someone has just finished high school, they might think that they will own the world. They want to finish college, get an amazing job in a big company, earn a lot, and build their dream life. Once they step into college, things begin to shape out differently. Class-to-class deadlines, exams, tuition, and...

Abstract image with newsletter title Everything starts somewhere

Everything starts somewhere! You started your life as someone, somewhere. You started a career in something, somehow. You started your business at some time, in some way. And my newsletter started today… The moment I started to comprehend my environment as a kid, all I saw were oil paintings on my house walls and books about drawing and colors. I believed this is life. I should learn how to draw and paint. So, my first drawing was something that looked like a donkey, with chalk on our green...
